  1. WOW, The lanscape is so flat, reminds me of drive to hannibal (without the corn fields). So that is what the trip is all about. Needs / issues / facts / status gathering and facilitating solutions. Isn't that what we do in a different setting ? Indeed it reflects on how a caring and active a governance model can be. A sustained organized effort would have created a wealth of learnings. The interview seems to be swift, adhoc, and real.

  2. So true. Though the presence of tangible, simple, results promotes an internal sense of validity. The locality and size of the population contribute to the ability for its execution in a direct way. Beyond my involvement, but to my knowledge, there was a schematic and plan for the trip. They have maps of dhani locations, etc. But i think the real interesting thing lies in the fact that it is based on the 'swadeshi' model of Gandhi's "Village Swaraj"-- local people helping other local people through the utilization of modern strategies.
